The Fulfilled Dreams fundraiser, which the Unipetrol Group organized for its employees, raised 100,000 Czech crowns. While the employees donated half of this amount, the company matched their contributions. The raised money was donated to nonprofit organizations at the Most region and in Pardubice and Prague, i.e. in the regions where Unipetrol Group conducts its business.

“Once again, our employees demonstrated solidarity and, together with the entire Unipetrol Group, contributed to a better quality of life in the regions where they work and live. Our employees not only raised the above mentioned amount during the fundraiser but they also volunteered by a total 400 working hours for non-profit organizations in Most and Litvínov last year,” said the General Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Unipetrol Piotr Chełmiński.

The largest amount of the donated money (68,000 CZK) will go to the Children’s Home in Hora Svaté Kateřiny in the Ústí nad Labem region. Particularly, the money will be used for furnishing a playground. The remaining 32,000 CZK raised during the Fulfilled Dreams fundraiser will be divided between the Association for Early Care in Pardubice, which will use it for purchasing didactic aids, and the Sue Ryder Home in Prague. Towards the end of this year, Unipetrol intends to repeat the fundraiser.

Social responsibility in individual regions

The Unipetrol Group is fully aware of its social responsibility and contributes to the process of improving the quality of life in the regions where it conducts its business. During the last three years, Unipetrol donated more than 5.5 million Czech crowns to various projects in the Ústí nad Labem region. As a part of volunteering activities, Unipetrol employees worked a total 400 hours for the benefit of nonprofit organizations in Most and Litvínov last year.
